What crypto community management costs

Starter runs from $1,500 a month, Core 24/7 from $3,000 and Full Community Ops from $5,000. Month to month, with no onboarding fee. Starter and Core 24/7 are moderation. Full Community Ops adds community management.

What does crypto community management include?

That name covers different jobs, and they cost different amounts.

Moderation is the daily work in chat. A mod deletes messages, mutes or bans rule-breakers and answers members. It is the core of every plan we sell.

Community management sits above that. On our Full Community Ops plan it means a community lead, bot setup and security, ambassador management and a monthly strategy.

Marketing and growth is a third job. We do no growth or marketing. A quote that bundles it in is a different product, so ask what the number covers.

How much does moderation cost a month?

Every plan is month to month, with 30 days’ notice and no onboarding fee. Onboarding is part of month one: mod training on your voice, FAQs and rules, a shift schedule and launch.

  • Starter, from $1,500 a month: 2 moderators covering the 12 hours a day you pick, 7 days a week. One platform, for less busy servers.
  • Core 24/7, from $3,000 a month: Up to 5 moderators, round the clock.
  • Full Community Ops, from $5,000 a month: A community lead plus up to 6 moderators, round the clock. Plus bot setup and security, ambassador management and a monthly strategy.

Those are the mod counts you get on each plan, not the size of our roster. Every plan includes:

  • Our aim: a reply within 5 minutes while we’re on. On Starter, that means the 12 hours you pick.
  • A daily report from each mod in your mod group, and a weekly report from me: highlights, lowlights, suggestions and feedback.
  • Ticket bot and auto-reply setup.
  • A one-time audit and fix of your existing Discord server: we find the problems and clean them up, at no extra charge.

The full list is on the Pricing page.

What changes the price?

The plan sets the hours. Starter covers the 12 hours a day you pick, and the other two plans cover round the clock, so they cost more. Starter is one platform. How busy your server is matters too: how many members you have and how many messages they post a day. A quiet server on one platform needs less cover than a busy one on two, so we plan coverage around your members, messages per day and platforms.

Starting prices. Your final price depends on your community’s size and platforms.

What costs extra?

Plan prices cover our team and our work. Premium bots and paid subscriptions are billed to you at cost, on top of your plan.

Extra mods are available for busy months. Ask us before the month starts.

Setting up a brand-new Discord server, with security built in, is the separate $500 job. It is called the Discord security audit and setup: $500, one time, apart from your monthly plan. Discord only.

Not on a monthly plan? The same $500 covers an audit and fix of an existing Discord server.

What are the other ways to staff it?

You have three routes: your own people, a freelancer or an agency. Each fits someone.

In-house. You pick the people and they know your project inside out. You also hire them, train them, write the shifts and cover their sick days and holidays. Round-the-clock cover needs more than one or two people.

A freelancer. One person, usually quick to start and easy to talk to. When they are off or asleep, nobody is on, and if they leave you start the search again. It can work well for a small, quiet server.

An agency. A team with a shift schedule, cover for each other and someone checking the work. You give up some closeness to your project, so you need to know who the mods are. We are an agency, so weigh our view with that in mind.

The cheapest line on a quote is rarely the whole bill. Add up the hours covered, the people you still have to manage yourself and whatever is billed on top. Then compare.

What should you ask before you pay anyone?

  • Which hours does the quote cover, and on which platforms?
  • Does the price cover moderation only, or community management too?
  • Who are the mods, and where have they moderated before? Can you see it?
  • Are they ID-verified, and do they sign an NDA?
  • What permissions do they get, and is that agreed in writing?
  • What is billed on top, such as bots, subscriptions or extra mods for busy months?
  • How do you cancel, and how much notice does it take?

We cover the vetting, the scam-link test and access in how to hire Discord and Telegram moderators.

What else do founders ask about cost?

How much does it cost?

Starter is from $1,500 a month, Core 24/7 from $3,000 and Full Community Ops from $5,000. Month to month, with no onboarding fee. Your final price depends on your community’s size and platforms. See the Pricing page.

Can I cancel?

Yes. Plans run month to month with 30 days’ notice. There’s no onboarding fee.

How do I pay?

We take stablecoins only, USDC or USDT. Each invoice names the exact token and address.

Do you do growth or marketing?

No. We do moderation, and community management on Full Community Ops.

Do you work with Telegram groups?

Yes, we moderate Telegram groups too. The free audit covers Discord only. For Telegram, you fill in our security checklist from your group’s settings and send it back. We reply with a one-page review with a fast turnaround, and we never ask for access. Get the Telegram checklist.

What does the free audit include?

A 2-page report on your Discord server: (1) scam and bot risk, (2) reply times and coverage. We turn it around fast once we have what we need, usually just your server link. It’s free.
